Discover the art world 4.0 with artificial plaza: inspiration, innovation, interaction

Kunstplaza is its platform for contemporary art and global visibility.

Welcome to Kunstplaza - the place where artists come together from different countries to share their ideas of aesthetics and release the mind.

We are proud to offer a platform that enables talented creators to join a global community and make their work accessible to a wide audience.

Our goal is to design a new version of the art world - version 4.0, so to speak. We believe that art can be more than just a beautiful picture on the wall or a decorative object in the room. Art has the power to inspire us, to challenge us and get us to think about our world.

That is why we work closely with our artists every day. We encourage you to exceed your traditional boundaries when marketing your art and take new digital ways.

genesis

The online project Kunstplaza was launched in 2015 with the mission to create an online platform for artists, art dealers, patrons, collectors, institutions, galleries, museums, initiatives and art enthusiasts of all kinds in German-speaking countries and beyond.

At that time, traditional art galleries about visibility and often the success of artists from the field of fine arts determined.

We were convinced that there was an urgent need to create a virtual point of contact for creative and art enthusiasts who enabled them to present their work and works on simple, uncomplicated and direct ways to present and also offer them for sale.

On the other hand, art dealers and collectors benefit from it when artists bundled their works in one place. For example, for the acquisition of works of art - often directly from the artist. This also allows you to discover talented, young artists who are just beginning to write their creative success story.

At the same time, we also see great potential in offering creative people the opportunity and the space to exchange ideas, to network, to organize themselves or to help each other with advice and action.

In order to take these needs into account, we have created the online gallery (art marketplace) .

An idea was born

In addition to the exercise of a full -time profession, the founder Joachim Rodriguez y Romero approached the idea of creating a platform for artists who not only understood the needs of artists, but also took seriously.

It takes many months of the idea until a concept and an economically sustainable business plan were finally created.

From then on, the concept was filed every month and worked on the implementation.

3 years later

After 3 sweaty years the time had come. Kunstplaza.de saw the light of day.

Go live

The website went online in its first version. Gradually, functions, extensions and improvements were added.

Online gallery, artist community and art blog were available for the first time.

Main acquisition

Artplaza became the main acquisition in 2017 as a leisure project and then in the sideline.

This enabled increased focus and investments in the development and expansion of the platform

Kunstplaza - the platform for contemporary art online

Kunstplaza 2.0 - complete redesign

In 2018, the complete web design and website structure was revised to meet technological progress and the latest standards.

Substantial improvements in the field of mobile responsibility, loading times and performance were also achieved on the technical side.

In this context, the website structure was also optimized and the former art blog was expanded into a full -fledged art magazine with an increasing number of categories.

Exponential growth

From 2018 to 2023 we were able to exponentially increase visitor numbers, our social media range as well as the number of artists and works in our online gallery.

We are very proud that we were able to achieve growth of 100-250% per year during this time. This encourages us in our actions and motivates us every day anew.

2024 - year of challenges

2024 was also a year full of challenges for us. Nevertheless, we were able to reach the following milestones:

  • Art & Design Shop -customers can now acquire exceptional design objects, handicraft home decor and wall art directly in the shop of Kunstplaza. We want to build a range of over 1,000 articles by the end of 2025.
  • Definition of our organic reach in search engines and in social media.
  • Far -reaching technical improvements for faster loading times (especially via the mobile network)

Roadmap for 2025

For the current year we have plans to do a lot again:

  • Accessibility - we will make the entire platform barrier -free and provide extensive aids for people with impairments.
  • Renewal of our price structure and reopening of our online gallery for new artists (waiting list currently comprises more than 500 artists).
  • Duplication of our organic reach in search engines and in social media.
  • Internationalization / multilingualism : In addition to the German language, we will put artificial plaza available in 5 other languages (English, Spanish, French, Russian, Chinese).

What makes art plaza so unique?

We at Kunstplaza want to penetrate the core of the needs and expectations of creative and art -interested people and set ourselves high goals in order to do justice to it.

You will definitely know that there are countless pages, forums, shops and marketplaces for art, handicrafts, design and creative work on the Internet. Why do you need another art portal?

Of course, we looked closely at these platforms and portals. In most cases, however, we missed various things.

On the one hand, we could not find a holistic portal that offered a comprehensive range of functions, from the presentation of works of art, the presentation and marketing of one's own profile (including social profiles), linking different social channels, the procurement of helpful information, through trade in art as well as tips and advice on art trade, to productive exchange and networking of artists and art -interested people.

Furthermore, with large and ranged portals, we noticed an increasing tendency of commercialization, which makes it more difficult for the artists active there to stand out from the mass of industrial or series and finally to live from their art.

We suspect a reason for this development in the increasing economic pressure of investors or shareholders who expect a certain return for their investments and promote the monetization of their projects.

We want to avoid this at Kunstplaza. Of course, we are also dependent on income and a solid yield situation in an economic environment. However, we reject it to subordinate our original project idea and the concept of Kunstplaza to a mere profit striving.

Therefore, we would like to make our prices and fee structure as fair as possible in order to create a good and sustainable solution for everyone involved without losing our investment ability.

Our understanding of "perpetual beta"

Although the hype and the media reports about Web 2.0 have long been history, we would like to strive at this time -shaped term “perpetual beta” and focus on the focus of our actions. This means that we are continuously working on the further development and improvement of the Kunstplaza platform.

We are always open to criticism and suggestions by our members and users. We are very interested in leading an open dialogue, as we do not presume to know all the needs of everyone involved in advance or to be able to operate them accordingly.

Since we have no financially strong investors behind us and want to remain independent in the future, we would also like to ask for your understanding if not all concepts, improvements, extensions and inquiries can be implemented immediately.

We do our best to gradually process them and to meet your expectations as soon as possible.
