Colors touch us emotionally and stimulate the senses. They have a deep effect on our psyche and transmit information non -verbally, generate certain moods and often have a strong influence on decisions that we make.
The effect of colors is inevitable - inevitable - inevitable. Colors influence our behavior, our mood, our thoughts. Our reactions to this are often deeply personal and rooted in our own experiences, values and imprints.
Colors have the property of reducing stress, calming, motivating, enabling, taking measures, and also bringing healing energy.
Wassily Kandinsky once announced: " Color provokes a mental vibration. Color hides an even unknown but real force that affects every part of the human body."
Colors create a certain atmosphere and have their own "energy". Colors are an integral part of our life.
About the artist

Lured by a fascination for intensive color pallets , the digital artist Thedotrod completely given himself the pull of her luminos and emotional force. In his studies as a web and media designer, he dealt with color theory, color theory and color psychology early on. This passion is still unbroken to this day.
In addition, there was a great interest in composition and image structure , which Thedotrod developed as part of training as a free draftsman.
He was now able to bring both focus on both areas of interest in his digital series of images that combine scenic image compositions with intensive color palettes and a good dose of abstraction in watercolor style . The abstraction should create tension. The figurative representation is subordinate to the picture mood and is intended to stimulate the viewer's imagination.
Black isn't color? Is black nothing more than the absence of color? From a scientific point of view, black is the absence of light. The opposite is the case for Thedotrod: it sees an incredible strength and depth effect in it; "Nothing stimulates the imagination in pictures as strongly as the mysterious and unfathomable black." In this point of view, the source of inspiration for the picture series "Dark Matters" .
Thedotrod web and media designer based three-fluid city of Passau since 2013 a freelancer , blogger and webmaster for many years. He pursues his artistic passion in his free time.
In addition to the intensive use of color, his current work is devoted to the balance between abstract elements and realistic forms, which mixes together a multi -layered and vibrating world. Thedotrod finds inspiration in every moment of life and tries to show that the inconspicuous, fleeting and often overlooked moments deserve to be shown and unfold their very independent beauty.
He currently lives in Passau and also finds inspiration when traveling and in the virtual expanses of the Internet. He likes to visit art courses, open studio afternoons and workshops. At the same time, he refines his techniques and skills on online courses.
Digital painting type of thedotrod

03 Sunset Surfer
“Surfing is more than just a water sport. It is a lifestyle, a attitude, a way of life. Some people could only scratch their heads if they watch the lifelong striving for a surfer, to find and ride this legendary perfect wave. Is it just a youthful idea that has stubbornly stuck in old age, or is it even a kind of obsession?
No idea ... maybe to a certain extent ... but let us see it like this: The schedule of a surfer is not set by calendar or weekdays. They resemble themselves with natural times, fall in love with the power of the ocean, dance with the waves and ultimately become much happier in life. This is definitely not just for young people and younger people :-) "
05 Tropical Sunset + 06 Purple Palm Beach
“Digital art of a tropical palm beach near the ocean at sunset. It lets our thoughts fly to a remote destination under coconut palms, while we listen to the calming noise of the shore.
No wonder that photographers all over the world often fall back on sunsets as popular motifs to absorb spectacular and lively color pallets that were painted on the screen of mother nature. A deep source full of inspiration for the compilation of the color pallets of so many works of art.
From a physical point of view, the light goes through the atmosphere in various ways in sunsets, so that at the end we see an interplay of many orange, violet and red tones. From a spiritual point of view, our spirit embarks on hiking in sunsets. ”

B. Winter Wonderland
01 Forrest Mountain View
02 Icy Lake + 03 Forsaken Boat
“We know intuitively that the weather influences our mood. Studies show that peaceful winter landscapes create atmospheric experiences and touch us humans emotionally. The ambience of winter forests, winter lakes, mountains or parks ensure joy and deep relaxation.
What about snow? Do you remember how it feels that you wake up for the first time with freshly fallen snow and find out that it is free of school? To build a snowman? To organize a snowball fight or make a snow angel? Such moments and memories of a winter wonderland let us merge with these pictures in view of the splendor of mother nature. ”

C. Dark Matters
01 Cabin in the Dark Woods
"Hopefully this little hut in the middle of the dark forest has no nasty surprises-like in the cinema film of the same name, in which a group of college students who retire to a remote forest hut falls victim to terrible hind forester creatures. This digital composition was inspired by those horror films that make us goose bumps.
In any case, the dark and uncanny atmosphere of this digital painting is clearly intended. The lights that shine from the cabin let us ask who could inhabit them and whether the resident is friendly or hostile. The tension is held up. Should we approach this place or better seek the width immediately?
Despite these creepy feelings, it also triggers an ambivalent emotional reaction and brings back a flood of memories of our childhood when fairy tales of Little Red Riding Hood and the great evil wolf were told. ”

01 Snowy Forest
“The mental link of trees, forests, winter and snow is deeply rooted in our consciousness. Perhaps this is fueled by the annual pictures of Christmas trees, which we face again every year in the winter months.
However, snowy landscapes - especially snowy forests - have a calming and peaceful effect on my mind. A magical winter wonderland that seems untouched by humans-trees that proudly rise in this landscape and radiate a spirit of sublime and durability in a world that is quietly covered by gently falling snowflakes. "
02 Pier of Tranquility

03 Misty Woods + 04 Solitary Tree

05 Yellow Forest Lake

06 Sunset Feelings by the Pier

07 Falling Star Mansion

08 Snowy Peak Mountain
"Outdoor activities are more than just sport and some kind of physical activity. It is a lifestyle and a way of thinking. Time in forests, hiking in mountains and simply being outside, has the strength to bring even the most restless mirrors to the gentleness.
Open landscapes, impressive mountain landscapes and natural green areas lead to well -being that lasts for a long time.
Interesting that even a picture like this triggers that positive feelings and inspires us to spend the next weekend outdoors ... ”
