EUward advertised for the ninth time
Artists can again apply for the renowned price for painting and graphics across Europe.

Promotion Prize of the Augustinum Foundation for Painting and Graphics in the context of intellectual disabilities
Euward, the European Promotion Prize for Painting and Graphics in the context of intellectual disabilities, will be advertised again from January 30, 2023.
By May 30, 2023, artists can apply with cognitive impairments to this worldwide unique art prize of the Munich Augustinum Foundation. awarded at the Haus der Kunst in Munich as part of the opening of a large Euward exhibition in May 2024
Information on the application process can be found at www.euward.de .
The Augustinum Foundation has been awarding the Euward since 2000. It is internationally the most important award for art in the context of intellectual disabilities and will be awarded for the ninth time in 2024. In recent years, up to 800 artists from more than 25 European nations have applied.

The tender begins on January 30th and ends on May 30, 2023.

The aim of the Euward is to promote unknown artists in the sense of a real inclusion and to make their work accessible to the public. A specialist jury from internationally renowned experts (SS 2) will select three winners from the applications from all over Europe.
In May 2024 you will receive an exhibition in the Haus der Kunst, Munich, and will also be
funded with cash prizes and a catalog with a total value of around 25,000 euros.
The perception of the art of people with intellectual disabilities by the museums has only recently become increasingly developed. In addition to the tradition of the "Art Brut" or "Outsider Art", it forms a new artistic scene today. "Supervised studios" often offer talents the conditions to realize themselves as freelance artists.
Europe -wide renowned exhibition houses and museums of this art offer a forum (see Kuratorium page 2). The Euward wants to make the artistic quality visible in the work of these cultural outsiders. Purely social aspects don't matter.
The EUward is supported by international museums and cultural institutions - for example from Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland.
