Pair of sculptures "Bulle and Bär", version in artificial bronze
In the 16th century, the Spaniards brought bull's fight into the new world. However, the Mexicans quickly changed the rules and sent the bull into the arena to a chained grizzly. The poet Don José de la Vega transferred this picture to the action on the Amsterdam stock exchange in 1688. Since then, bulls and bear have been part of the stock world like Dow Jones and Wall Street.
