Evert den Hartog, born in Groot-Rammer (Netherlands) in 1949, received his artistic training from 1971 to 1976 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam. Only ceramic sculptures were mainly created until he discovered his passion for the material bronze in the early 1980s.
The theme of his works comes from above all the wildlife, which is arrested in its multifaceted motif of ancient mythology. The living beings of the animal world records the Hartog in positions of apparently weightless lightness. The Dutch sculptor has assumed the challenge of combining weightlessness and earth ties.
