Susanne Boerner Susanne Boerner, born in Göttingen, has been working successfully as a designer for ceramics, wood and metal for many years. It swears by manual work, and so her weatherproof sculptures - often in unusual mixes of materials from ceramics, wood and metal - are created in small quantities and are shaped and painted by hand. Boerner's distinctive objects are happy to be colorful, like a little cranky - but definitely full of imagination and humor. Incidentally, her works have also been spreading happiness in Brussels since March 2017: On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Roman contracts, her large figure ensemble "European Citizens" ("European citizen") was drawn up as a permanent exhibition before the European Commission building - 13 life -size figures made of metal and sound decorate the Jean Monnet square, named after one of the founding fathers of European agreement.
