Stefan Dobritz, with its bright yellow rapeseed fields, with its bright yellow rapeseed fields, the rough coastal strips with their foaming waves and the illuminated port views. The artist, born in Lübeck in 1965, was shaped sustainably by the encounter with the painter Jürgen Runge (1929-92). As a Pleinair painter, he mostly produces his works on site, he works exclusively with the spatula. This painting technique enables impulsive work, as well as to work out details. With the representation of attractive lighting and shadow effects, well-proportioned image sections and its search for complementary, intensive color compositions, Dobritz works out the "beauty of the special moment" inherent. With his sometimes reduced, striking, but always in the way, the artist succeeds in focusing on moods and their romantic worlds of experience.
