Image "The last trip of the Temeraire" (1839), framed
This is how the glory of the world passes: the HMS Temeraire was a ship stocked with 98 cannons that had been used at the famous Battle of Trafalgar. This shows Turner how it is pulled in the light of a sun sinking in exploding red tones from a steamship.
Original: 1838/39, oil on canvas, 90.7 x 121.6 cm, National Gallery, London.
Edition in the Fine Art Giclée process transferred directly to the screen and stretched to a stretcher. Limited edition 980, numbered, with certificate. Framed in hand -made, silver -colored solid wood frame. Format 64 x 84 cm (h/b).
