Patricia Frida Eichwalder, artist name Patricia Frida, grew up in Carinthia in Austria, finds enough motives for her work as a trained visagist. In 1991 the artist traveled to Asia and spent 4 years in Tokyo, where she learned the art of photography. Until 1998 she troubled through the world: New York, Barcelona and London. Today Patricia Frida lives and works in Paris. The basis of her work is photography, which she partially develops in the dark chamber or prints on watercolor paper. Then the motif is transferred to canvas and revised with different materials such as oil paints, acrylic, pigments, water colors and different papers (such as newspapers or old templates that they find at flea markets and in antiquarian bookshops).
