Image "umezawa manor in the province of Sagami" (around 1830-32), framed
Hokusai (1760-1849) was one of the most important representatives of the Ukiyo-e, the Japanese color woodcut. This motif comes from his famous series of image "36 Views of the Fuji Berg" (1830-36), in which Hokusai collected the landscapes around the highest mountain in Japan.
